CORTINAMETRAGGIO

In the 1990s, following an idea by Maddalena Mayneri, the Cortinametraggio Festival was created, an event for national short films. This event, the most prestigious in the Ampezzo basin, is the first and most important short film festival in Italy, so much so that it has received the support of state institutions and technological and commercial institutions of filmmaking.

In the years since its inception, the festival has developed with each edition into a qualified and sought-after hotbed of talent, increasingly well received by audiences and critics.

MISSION

The aim of Cortinametraggio is to promote the film industry and its special relationship with Cortina, to bring the public closer to the Queen of the Dolomites and to younger works of production destined for cinemas and film culture in the wider sense, as well as offering a style of communication aimed at promoting territorial marketing (through free screenings, debates, meetings and master classes).
